Quick Overview:
Amlokind 5mg contains Amlodipine, which belongs to a class of medications known as calcium channel blockers. It works by inhibiting the entry of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle cells. This mechanism relaxes and dilates the blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily throughout the body, reducing blood pressure and lowering the oxygen demand of the heart muscle.
